Laboratory of Mesoscale Biology

The Beel Laboratory applies biochemical, structural, and optical methods to address fundamental questions about the governing principles of mesoscale biological organization and the physical underpinnings thereof.  Current efforts in the lab are directed toward elucidating the contours of one such mesoscale assembly, the axial core of the metaphase chromosome.
